ABC is home to a purpose-built Class 7 clean room, equipped with Class 5 clean benches and a laminar flow hood. It meets ISO 14644-1:2015 standards and is now fully operational.

A bearing clean room is a strictly controlled space designed to reduce airborne particles and contaminants to a minimum. Keeping it that way involves high-efficiency air filtration, carefully managed airflow, and strict entry procedures for anyone working inside.

Clean rooms are rated by how effectively they control contamination, typically measured by the number and size of particles per cubic metre of air. These classifications follow international standards such as those outlined by ISO.

ABC’s new facility is divided into three areas: a changing room, a decontamination zone, and the main clean room. Within the clean room, components are inspected, cleaned, re-lubricated, and re-lifed. Bearings and related parts are handled in this controlled environment, and the facility is also approved for applying a wide range of coatings and lubricants using custom-built tooling. This includes applying solid film lubricants to bearing or linear surfaces.

While bearings are the primary focus, the clean room is also suitable for other precision parts like fasteners or high-spec machined components. A wide variety of bearing types have already been processed, including miniature ball bearings, needle rollers, angular contact, deep groove, medical-grade bearings, thin section, track rollers, linear guides, and metal-to-metal spherical bearings.

Alongside our bearing services, ABC stocks over 100 different lubricants, covering everything from food-grade and low outgassing types to those formulated for high-temperature or corrosive environments. Customers are also welcome to supply their own specified lubricants for use.
