NMB E-Type PTFE Liner Technology

NMB E-Type bearings represent the highest specification PTFE liner system within the NMB spherical bearing range. Designed for demanding applications where low friction, high load capacity and extended service life are critical, E-Type bearings are widely used throughout professional motorsport, including Formula 1, WRC, LMP and Dakar competition.

Like all lined spherical bearings, the liner is manufactured from woven fabric and PTFE fibres bonded together with a specialised resin to create a self-lubricating bearing surface. This eliminates the need for regular lubrication whilst providing smooth, consistent articulation under load.

The E-Type liner differs from standard constructions by incorporating a double PTFE impregnation process together with a Nomex® woven backing. This high-temperature-resistant material enhances wear resistance, improves liner stability and delivers a longer service life in demanding operating conditions.
